PTC
coolant heater can provide heat for driving cabin of electric vehicle and also
provide heat for other space, e.g. batteries.
1.1.2 features
Using electricity to heat coolant and PTC heater to generate heat.
Installed in water cooling system
Soft wind and controllable temperature
Use PWM to control driving and
with IGBT to adjust power
With short-period heat storage function
Whole vehicle circulation, supporting battery thermal management

control method
3.1 air conditioning control fame
② input command on air conditioning panel
②transfer with CAN
communication or ON/OFF PWM to controller
③ once coolant heater gets with command signal,
it will start PTC heater with PWM at input power
Advantage:
① 2circuits of PWM control,small inrush
current
② PWM control method can control power
constantly.
③ CAN communication can show status of heater
which is convenient to monitor.
